Installation Instructions

PFC Corofil C470 Raised Floor Fire Stop is used to prevent fire penetration at compartments under raised floors for a specified period up to 2 hours. They are held in place by a combination of compression and adhesive or multi purpose brackets according to height.

  1. Remove all loose debris from the line of the fire barrier.
  2. Ensure correct width is installed to suit the required Fire Rating.
  3. Keep material dry and protect from impact damage.
  4. Either apply adhesive to base of C470 and push into position, or if using multi purpose brackets, spike into material at 500mm centres, push into position and fix to floor.
  5. The Fire Stop must be cut tightly around pipes, ducts etc. Cables must be sealed with Firestop Compound to the full thickness of the barrier.

PFC Corofil C500 Fire Strip is manufactured from two layers of intumescent compound with a core of high density mineral fibre sealed in polythene. Dust or fibre generated from handling or cutting, if inhaled over a prolonged period, constitutes a health hazards.
   
Eye Contact

Eye Contact

The product, when cut, may cause irritation or inflammation. Goggles should be worn where there is a risk of dust or fibres entering the eyes. If dust or fibres enter the eye - hold the eyelids apart and irrigate with clean fresh water for five minutes
   

Skin Contact

The product may cause irritation to sensitive skins. Protective overalls and gloves should be worn to minimise exposure.
   
Skin Contact If irritation occurs then wash the affected area thoroughly with soap and water.
   
Inhalation

Inhalation

Inhalation may cause irritation. Ensure adequate ventilation when cutting, and wear a dust mask complying with BS2091 or BS6016.
   
Disposal

Disposal

Remove waste debris and place in strong plastic bags.
