Installation Instructions
PFC Corofil Intumescent Firestop Collars will give up to 4 hour fire rating in floors and walls when sealing plastic pipework.
Installation in Walls
- Make good wall around plastic pipe with either PFC Corofil Intumescent Sealant, Firestop Compound or Mortar.
- Undo the toggle clip on the Firestop Collar and open it out.
- Slide the Firestop Collar, with its’ fixing tabs pointing towards the face of the wall, around the plastic pipe.
- Lock the Firestop Collar around the pipe closing the toggle clip. Push the Firestop Collar back on to the wall.
- Fix the Firestop Collar to the wall by means of 32mm long steel self- tapping screws, through the fixing tabs.
- Repeat for the other side of the wall.
Installation in Walls
- Make good floor around plastic pipe with either PFC Corofil Intumescent Sealant, Firestop Compound or Mortar.
- Undo the toggle clip on the Firestop Collar and open it out.
- Slide the Firestop Collar, with its’ fixing tabs pointing up towards the face of the soffit, around the plastic pipe.
- Lock the Firestop Collar around the pipe closing the toggle clip. Push the Firestop Collar back on to the wall.
- Fix the Firestop Collar to the soffit by means of 32mm long steel self-tapping screws, through the fixing tabs.
